2017 Pheasant Season

Opens tomorrow and not one post. WOW .

Iam wondering if they stocked birds on some public hunting grounds on Tuesday.  I went for an hour and got one plus saw a lot more and heard  lots of shooting.  I always assumed they stocked Thursday and Friday, maybe they are switching it up??

 Hunted  after noon in rain on Sat.Did well  by each getting one a piece in Colombia cty. Sunday hit Marquette and Colombia the Windzor put one up.  Went to FDL Monday nothing and today back to Colombia...one flush in unhuntable area. Very little hunting pressure and lots of cover. Staying positive, walking ovet 5 miles a day and having fun!

Went out both Sat and Sun, Kettle Moraine and Vernon.  Didnt see a bird.  Dog had scent here and there.  Lots of shooting and lots of hunters.  Will try to get out during week to avoid the congestion.

Out today in Jefferson. Dlush and kill 1 in first 20 min. Nothing after. Great time with a friend.

Tried several of the Jefferson County WA areas. 1 bird on Saturday, nothing Sunday. Lots of shooting at certain areas but others nothing even with several guys out. DNR changing up release points and times by the look of it. Couple runners that wouldn't flush also. Lot of guys out even with the horrible weather. Only a few guys limiting out otherwise a bird here and there. 

Was at Vernon Marsh this morning. A lot of guys pheasant hunting and even more duck hunting.  Pup put up one rooster and that was it.  

Suposed to pour rain all day here hoping for tomorrow
