Do you have any info on SE Wisconsin fur buyers? Years ago I was trapping raccoons, was told to just freeze them whole, and a guy would come to Jays Sports and buy them. I've been trapping some muskrats lately and freezing them. Is anybody buying them, what are they maybe $2-3 each? Probably not worth it, I'll probably just practice tanning them myself. I've already made a pair of mittens, just without thumbs! If I were to sell them, is there something I should do to them besides freeze them?

Well so much for any spring beaver line in the southern zone near me this year... still a solid foot of snow on the ground and iced up tight around Taylor Co... patiently waiting for creeks to open up in the northern zone!

I have heard very good feedback on Great Northern Fur in Spooner.   Will be sending some pelts to them myself.

Have not sold anything so can’t say what the price of a red fox might bring.   Pricing is so subjective too: was it shot badly or trapped, how is the put up, nice colors or pee stained.    May want to consider harvesting it and having a hat made out of it.

Seen a huge red fox last weekend. Are they worth anything?

Season is going good so far with coon having slate to white leather on November 9th and later caught critters.  Pulled all sets before opening weekend, got some coyote sets back out on Sunday, plan to add more this week.

Regardless of where prices are, greatly enjoy being outdoors.

I'm not hardcore but got 2 coons and 1 red fox so far.  Tried for 2 days, just set 3 traps.  May try a new area this weekend to see if I can get a yote or two.  Still a rookie though and learning.

That was up in Price County.  We had snow and I saw the fox tracks when checking, was hoping he found his way to my set.

Been a busy fall!! Starting to get iced up here in north central part of the state, so pulling everything tonight. Now to wait for thick enuf Ice to keep pounding the beaver. How’s everybody else doing?

Thx guys. Got some pre sets done on some trees/logs and am gonna be setting/ baiting Monday. I know it's a little early but I never got a fisher and would be excited to get one.

Is there still "money" in furs?

Don't even consider using a 110 for fisher.

7 sets using the 160's should be plenty to fill a fisher tag.

Hey, I also pulled a fisher tag this year. I have a dozen or more mink boxes and was wondering if you can hold and kill a fisher in a 110 conibear. Message me if you want but need to know because I only have 7 160 to use and want to set multiple spots. Thanks for the help
