Mystery solved. My friends son shot him opening day. Sorry to cause such a ruckus on here about scores. Dude, G2's are right at 12" and maybe pushing north of 12". We will know more later, didnt have any tape measure to confirm. Good luck to all. My son shot a nice doe.
Riverhunt
pretty close ole. Any chance the buck that started this got shot?? My bad. I lied I added a quarter. managed to dig up the card i scored with in the garage. long barrels... slightly larger than most, don't take a pic of your trophy fish with me in the pic either. This was green and gross. I could care less about drying period and keeping a board in between rack to keep spread. I really was not adding 10. Looking forward to stretching the legs tomorrow. Looking forward to it a little too much since I should be in bed.
lokkn 4 pony those g2's and g3's are stupid long.. 162??
I may post pics of an 8 later that we hunted for two years. He ended up getting killed by the neighbors during rifle. We only had one chance to get him and my friend missed. I am not an avid scorer but I always figured he was easily north of 160”. I would appreciate your guys’ insights. Don’t think I have any images here, so it may not be until next week that I can post it.
Catfish, that buck i believe. has the mass, has the beams, has the tines.
Lookn', Mid 150's, If I saw it on stand i'd say "I saw a 8 possibly pushing 160". That thing is a GIANT. you don't see bucks like that outside of western or sw wisconsin very often if ever. I've never seen a 160 in 8 in any state on the hoof.
23 inch main beams. SMH
your mass measurements are crazy too. that buck has nothing special in the mass department.
If those are 10 inch 2's, then that gives him about a 22-23 inch spread...use your head boys.
you guys have never seen a 140 in 8pt before, i'm sure of that.
I could care less about what a deer scores, but I believe early retirement when he said it grossed 141. I'd come up with 144 as a ballpark without even putting a tape on it if the G2's are really 10".
8 circumferences=32, width=18, main beams=46, brows=12,G2=20, G3=16.
My point is, it's a darn nice buck and pictures can make deer look either really big or sometimes the complete opposite, really small. Until the rack is in your hands you have no idea (unless you are a self proclaimed internet expert). Everyone needs to relax a little.
