If there is anyone who hunts coyotes maybe you could help me out. I hunt some land near golden lake and I know that there is a pack of yotes on the public land north of me, but I never see them on the land I hunt. So just wondering, how far will a coyote travel if I try calling for them? and what is the best time to hunt for them?

Saw this guy from a box blind I was hunting in Sunday morning. I didn’t have triple a batteries for a primos caller I borrowed  from my brother. I used the caller from the blind. I only did a few shirt cottontail distress calls cause o didn’t want them to catch on to where the sound was coming from exactly. 20 minutes after the call I saw a dark fixture moving. I thought it was a deer. I made a slight noise with my boot on the floor when turning to get ready.  Then it blasted out of the woods crossing the trail  towards the marsh. I noticed a lot of white on its legs and you can see that in the picture. Funny a few minutes later two deer came out of the woods and were staring at the direction it ran

3 I took the weekend of Feb 8-11, 2024.  Top left one weighed 36.7 lbs and that mass around the neck is all fur and fat.  The bottom photo is a 26.6 lb female with a Tribal tracking collar.  She was in rough shape, mange was starting.

Flip, Hard to tell from the picture, at first I thought coyote but after looking at the ears maybe a wolf. I had a good season trapping coyotes. I usually love walking the river systems this time of year hunting them during the breeding season but with the ice conditions that's not going to happen. Anyone else having much luck?

Looks like a wolf

Been out a few nights so far. Called in and shot my first black coyote this last weekend.  Was a pretty cool stand. Hopefully it only gets better.
