Upland/Small Game
Pheasant Game Farms????
3/11/08 @ 5:10 PM
I checked into a membership at local game farms (S/E Wisconsin) and they want $895.00 and with that you get 20 birds. That comes out to $45.00 a bird. I was wondering if I am missing something. There are gamefarms where you dont have to be a member and their birds are $19.00 each.

Just an FYI if some one would like to get some birds for training purposes.
I have a friend that raises Pheasant for sale and he has still has about 200 birds he would like to sell. This is not a Pheasant game farm he just raises birds and sells them, you would need a place to release and shoot them and you would also need a training permit and leg tags that you can get from the DNR.
At this time he has approx: 75 Roosters and 125 hens and at this time he is asking $10 for roosters and $8 for hens and that price will go up at least $1 per bird by the end of this month because of feed prices.
We both live in Racine Co. and if you are interested you can message me and I can set you up with contact info.
I tried Blonhaven for the first time yesterday and had a great time. Very nice clubhouse, and they had kiddie swimming pools at each parking spot which was very nice for my dog after a hot hunt. I had them put out 3 birds and my setter Otto pointed all 3. I knocked them all down. They had good cover. I definitely plan on going back.
New owner and management since 2007 at Blonhaven.
huntMup, I really liked what a place called Blonhaven Hunt Club offered about 30 miles south of Madison near Orfordville and Evansville. Reasonable rates for members and non-members, excellent service and cover that lasted all season, A nice rustic club house full of north american mounts with everything my groups wanted.
