Pheasant Hunting in Western Wisconsin
8/2/12 @ 9:10 PM
Hello, I am trying to find a spot to try pheasant hunting with my girlfriends father. He lives near Menominee, WI and I would be willing to travel up to about 45 minutes in any direction. There are quite a few places that I found while researching just would like to get some help zoning in on a few spots. I would only go like twice this year while visiting. Thanks.

Anyone interested in a pheasant hunt?!
The date is November 10th at crooked creek hunt club, its near spring prarie and springfield, WI. there are morning and afternoon hunts @ $125 for 4 birds, lunch, and cleaning of the birds. $200 for the tower schoot which is 10 birds released, cleaning of the birds, and lunch. If you do one of the paid events you can bring in canned goods for birds to hunt in the morning or afternoon! 6 canned goods= 1 bird with a max of 3 birds(18 canned goods) thats a steal! you could basicly get 7 birds for $125! you can call or text me at 262-745-1654 with any other questions. my name is shawn and i am in desperate need of some hunters!
I went to school at Stout and we would always go near the Downsville bottoms or out by Elmwood. Not a ton of birds, but their were always some.
Look for some Sportmas clubs and they can direct you as well. I was there 20 yrs ago. Would love to move back as I LOVED it up there. We would get a lot of Grouse as well!!!
Call the local DNR in your area and find out where birds are released. They probably wont tell you the date, but should be able to tell you which tract of public land. I know they used to show it on the public maps on the DNR website. Don't know if they still do that or not. Two years ago I planned a dove hunt based on info the DNR had on their web site about a sunflower patch supposedly that was planted in the city of Jackson. When I got there, it was just a big field of weeds. Good luck
Jess
