Best Charters?
4/7/12 @ 10:40 PM
I am planning a charter trip for the end of July or the first part of August with a small group and I'd like to go out somewhere between Milwaukee and Sheboygan.
Can anybody help me to decide on where to book a trip for my group based on a good value for the money and a good operation? I'd just be going on a half or 3/4 day trip and I do not need lodging.
Thanks in advance for any tips!

Couple things I would recomend. Ask the captain what he recomends! Typically a captain can tell you what type of bite to expect at that time of year, if the dates you are thinking will be ok, or if he has better luck in a different moon phase, and what types/ numbers of fish to expect. Everyone fishes differently out of each port and knows what their typical hot bites are. This isnt always accurate, but you want to fish with someone under their better conditions. Also ask about his mates- are they paid or only tips. I think any mate worth anything is paid. Find out what type of repeat business they have. Also find out recomendations from successfull and unsuccessfull customers. If someone had a bad day, would they go back? Did the captain and mate do everything they could to boat fish? Everyone has bad days and cant make the fish bite, but make sure your trip is going to be what you want with a captain you will get along with. Not everyone shares info with the general public. Plenty of guys have gotten burned doing that and if they find a good thing, they may not want to share. enjoy your trip.

Milwaukee ? I would put my money on Jason Woda @ Reel Sensation charters.
Look through the reports for the harbors you want to fish out of. Read them and look to see is catching fish and who is sharing the information.... 2 big pluses to the guys that know what they are doing and willing to help others!
