Found this on my cam located on my driveway this afternoon. Date is wrong on pic, was taken two days ago. I have included a pic of myself for size comparison. I'm thinking wolf....

The pic is a fox. Why do you think the fox is farther from the cam then you are? It looks like you are on the drive way while the fox is hopping off the near snow bank. Here is a website for telling the difference between coyotes and wolves. You can go to basically go to any states dnr website that have wolves and yotes to find a comparison chart. http://fwp.mt.gov/fishAndWildlife/management/wolf/wolfCoyote.html

It's weird. I looked for tracks and found no remnants. My foot impressions from last week are still there, even with the melting snow. I would have thought that I should have seen something there. Squirrel tracks are present and they weigh almost nothing.

I also think it looks foxy. It almost appears the pic was taken as it was getting off the snow bank..???...possibly giving the impression that it is taller than it really is..??

Interesting. FYI, the pic of me is from the same trail cam, mounted on the same tree, taken a few days before. It's actually further away from the cam than I am. Looks pretty big to me. Unedcuated eyeballs I guess. Thanks again!

OK. Probably a dumb question. How the heck does a guy tell the difference? I'm just trying to get more educated. Thanks!

It's a coyote. Actually, it kind of looks like a red fox. Black on he back legs and it looks like it might be black on the ears. Very fluffly looking tail too. I think it's close to the camera. Some of the shadowing is deceiving. It's not a wolf...that's for certain.
