What is your favorite e-collar?

I've always been a big Tri Tronics fan. I have an older model that has been around nine years. The remote has been chewed on, dropped in lakes and left on top of a truck and when driving a away it flew off and took some good bounces. It's still ticking. I've never replaced the battery pack on the collar and it still last several days before needing a charge. The only thing that is not as good as it once was is the amount of distance I can put between me and my lab before it stops working. I'm thinking of finally replacing it, Sportdog and Dogtra both have some bad reviews as far as longevity goes. I'd like to get another Tri Tronics but the remotes are bulky and cumbersome to have on a lanyard while duck hunting. My yellow lab has only needed the beep function the entire 9 years with a very occasional shock here and there. What do you guys like?

Thanks for mentioning collarclinic.com Baggs! I went on their website and ordered a new charger, battery pack and an antenna for my Sport 60 G2. No need to shop for a new collar now! If I read their website correctly, switching from the 3.5" antenna to the 5" I will gain an extra 200 yards out of it. Not that I should need it.
I've always had good luck with Tri-Tronics products. I used a Sportsman for 15 years and it still works today as good as the day I bought it. With my current lil guy I went with the Sport Basic G3 Exp, found one online for $209 shipped. That model fit my needs in an e-collar, range, adjustable levels on the remote, the ability to run 3 dogs off one transmitter, and price. Would probably be a good choice for what you need it for. TY should be able to give you a good price on one, otherwise online places like gun dog supply usually have free shipping.

Purchased a reconditioned Dogtra collar (500P) from collarclinic.com in 2002. Other than replacing the batteries once, I've had no problems at all. The collar is now on its second dog in the spring of 2012. Sure, there are collars out there that have newer technology but this one works well. Like you, I really only need the "nick' feature or the pager as my dog is normally obedient and not needing of any hard correction.
Sportdog Houndhunter 3225.
2 mile range with tone, vibrate and shock.
I run hounds and put the collars through h*ll.
I go to Drummond Island for a week every year running snowshoes for 5 hours/day and only have to re-charge them once during that week. I run hounds on average 4 days/week, very durable system.
Collars and handheld are waterproof and expandable to 6 collars.
Had a Dogtra 1802 for 10 years with no complaints but like the 3225 better.
