My yellow lab started to bleed outside the other day from her foot pad..I thought that maybe she step on a peice of glass or something, but there is a irritation on her pad, that cause the bleeding..It has stopped, but I'm afraid she is going to start licking it...Starting to favor that foot also..Is there something on the market I can put on it to help the healing so it doesn't get infected?? I don't think it needs a vet check at this time,,

i have dog that tears pads often. I put Neosporin on it then cover it up with a dog boot. Works great. need to change or check everyday.

We have numerous sets of doggie boots, the kind sled dogs use. You could put those on his feet to control licking of the affected paw. We have found our dogs get used to having them on for outside use in the winter and do not try to remove them.
