This is really getting out of hand now. I am tired of coming to the forums page and seeing the spammers. I cant be the only guy who is. There are many ways to prevent this. Please implement new ways to post in the forums to help with this problem.

Spamming is happening on sites all over the place right now......what you should do is make someone wait 3 days before posting. Those spammers would forget their password in that time.

nihsif: my wife had to renew early this year & I in May so I thought I would give a heads up when I ran across this site. I didn't intend to include every item. In WI, when you receive your renewal notice for your dr lic, you will receive a sheet with all the info. I had to read it & then reread it several times to fully understand the requirements to get the Real ID. Course that's just me. If your due for a renewal this year and choose to get a standard renewal you will have to go back to the DVM another time, at no charge, to get what will be the Real ID. Where I went in Greendale that could mean another 2-3 hours of trying to stay awake waiting for your no. to be called. So my wife & I both got the Real ID. It's done.

thanks fishie and lota lota... I looked for some more info this is the result of the Federal government passing an act more info... http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/drivers/drivers/realid/ EDIT: it is important to note that they are saying this is NOT mandatory to get this Real ID card...just yet anyways also...here's all forms of acceptable identification: http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/drivers/drivers/apply/doc/proof-dob.htm

If you are like me and can't find your social security card, you can use a tax document, like a W-2 form, that shows your name, social security number and address.

If anyone else has to renew their drivers lic this year, be prepared to get your Real ID drivers lic which if not renewed this year will have to be renewed in the near future. This takes more ID such as a birth cert or a valid passport along with a valid social security card. The cost is the same whether you get a reg lic renewal or you get the Real ID. You will in time need to verify you are who you say you are and that you are living where you say you are. Your new Real Id drivers lic is a tad different.

When you click on a thread and it goes to the home page = Lake-Link has made the thread inactive...they just haven't removed them yet... might be saving for further investigation
