Water temp was 79 on the surface yesterday. 78 a few feet down. Still pretty warm.

Vegas and I made it out this afternoon/evening and put up another goose egg. Seriously nothing, not even a follow. It's disappointing, but that's fishing sometimes.

Regardless of how tough the lake has been this year it was a nice calm day on the water. Geoff is a great fisherman and I love learning from him.

muskie77- I am also going out this weekend. Plan on fishing the mornings and nights out here. Read recent reports and either the fishings been slow or the skiers have dominated the lake lately. Also wondering about the water temps and how bad the weeds are out here...

Spent a 3 hours fishing from Smokies dock due to not having access to a boat right now. Managed to get a follow from a very small ski, around 14inches long, and a nicer looking walleye. Moved to the public dock where I got a hit but havent a clue what it was as didnt hook up. Nice splash though !

If anyone needs a boating partner I should be free most evenings, mornings so drop me a pm.

Derek Mueller memorial open A couple of notes about the Bass tournament Sept. 12th. I talked with sports doc today and they thought it would be a good idea to launch at the public park. The yacht club has a regatta the same weekend and their launch may be busy. As far as entry, please show up at the Sports Doc by 6:15 and enter. It looks like we should have a good number of boats. Any questions messenger me.

Went out this morning for about 4 hours. Had one muskie follow just after 6am. Mid to high 30's. Yellow bucktail in 10 fow. Caught one walleye just after 7am. Fished until 10am until boat traffic got real busy.
