We had a small catch and release tournament over the weekend. Some people had an awesome bite while it was tougher for others. I hit the slop right away and that bite was really off I didnt even have 1 blow up in 2 hours. I left that and went to docks and caught a couple of fat 17 inchers. I ended up with 4 fish and just couldnt get that 5th fish. I had my chances but got broke off twice. The winner was LL member El Rat - him and his partner had 5 fish with a good 18 incher and a 19 1/2 incher.

Not so much a fishing report but i do need some help Was out on the lake from about 3-7 pm headed out to the main lake but blew out there in a short time. Went into fox lake on the channel and passed the time catching myriad small pannies, nice day on the water.
Also, During that time my transom saver disappeared. I usually just put it on the back of the truck but it wasn't there when we got back in. If anyone finds it or it turns up i would appreciate it. Thanks

I went out to Fox again this evening after work. (5-8pm). It was a little windy to start, but died down later in the evening and was a perfect night. The LMB bite is awsome right now. It could be the water cooling (had 74.8 in one area) or the full moon phase, or a combination of things, but man are they biting good. I caught 7 bass last night from 15.5 to 18.5 inches. These are great, fat healthy fish. All caught for fun and then released to grow bigger. All were caught on Gander Plastics.....One certain bait seems to produce more than others, took me a year and a half to figure it out, but that bait never fails on fox. I love this weather, I will be back soon. Also missed one that was at least 20" (I will be back for you slobasaurous!!).

Had a good bite all weekend. Sunday was better, as I caught 4 fish from 16-19 inches. Saturday I fished a wind blown rock bar and caught 5 or 6 10" - 12" bass......good for the future.
Here is the pic of the 19 incher. It was 5.0 pounds right on the head.

Hit our usual perch area - 5 fow this am; 8:30-11:00. They are still there. The big ones prefered minnows and leaches (too bad I didn't have many of either) on plain hooks close to the bottom. I was hoping the big ones would like big crawler chunks, but the little ones gobbled those up. Still plenty of sorting, I'd say tossing back 75% to take a doz home. There were a few big gils hanging around too. Picked up a couple small eyes as well.

Went out looking for big gills and found them where they have been all summer. In 3 ft of water in the weeds. Not sure why they are still there but they are. Caught more small ones than usual but there are some real nice ones mixed in. Just fished a small jig under a rocket bobber. Took home enough for a meal, threw a lot of nice fish back for next time. Has anyone been getting any crappies this summer, might go out and try for them this week. Feel free to pm me......Shaver

Went out this morning for a few hours until my trolling motor went crazy. Caught four walleyes and a couple bass. Unfortunately they were all small. Anyone know were I can get a new momentary switch for a minn kota trolling motor?
Looking to take out some "at risk" students in late August early September for crappie fishing. This will be strictly catch and release but we would appreciate some patterns and location for Aug - Sept. just to cut down on the learning curve. Please message me with any tips/locations you might have. Appreciate it. Buzz

was on fox lake this afternoon trying for sum pan fish ended up with 18 nice 8 to 9 1'2 inches. did a little bass fishing was alright not great but ok ened up with 6 bass biggest was 19 smallest was 15. was out there also heard hamby got a good size bass as well around up 20's
It was really windy today. I got out for about an hour and a half this evening and got 4 bass, one going a bit under 18". I spotted a very large amount of baitfish busting the surface, but by then it was time for me to leave. I'll be hitting that spot tomorrow morning if it isn't raining. I'm hoping there'll be some big fish hanging out near them.

Fished from 6:30 a.m. till it started to rain around 4 p.m. on saturday. Caught 2 eyes 14, and a 20" plus. Then started to target some paners and caught 2 gills over 8" and 7 crappie between 10-11" inches. Lost 4 nice crappie's right at the boat between 10-12" inches, they were real nice, but they all jumped and spit the hook. Was going to stay for the evening bite for muskies and see what I could find, but said the heck with it when it started to rain. Never really targeted muskies on this lake yet, had some follow ups though. Anyone know where a good place to start for muskies is on this lake, I hear devils island is ok. Any info would be great.

Got out last night for few hours before dark, trolling for walleyes. No luck. Figure on trying again Sunday morning.
It's no giant, but it's definitely a very nice fish. I ended the day today with 4 legal bass. 3 going 18", and one 20". It's only the second 20" i've caught this week
All of course were caught on a 3/8 oz Red Dragon flipping jig in the Foxy Craw color.
