Set up today off the north point around 11am had numerous flags with a lot of drops. Caught 2 decent northern and had 2 bite through the mono leader, no snakes here. Caught 3 walleye in 15 minutes at sunset a 15", 19", and 25" and a 10" while packing up. Was a pretty good day except for the wind and blowing snow. Ive heard people are doing good on Pelican but decided to save 4 miles and had the whole lake to ourselves.

I want to go out in the morning and was wondering if the ice is safe for driving. Also if any one could point a first timer in the right direction.

Thanks gundog

My friend fished it last weekend. He caught three nice size perch but no walleye.

No, there is no deer lake in the area. There are two otter lakes in langlade county, this is the one in elcho.

Anyone been on Otter lately? Coming up from Milwaukee and don't want to make a wasted trip if the fish aren't biting or there isn't enough ice.

Fished Otter tonight with terrible luck, things have been so slow that I don't think it pays to stop at this lake! Haven't seen it this bad in awhile, head north if your thinking of fishingthis lake! Good luck to all!

TERRIBLE! The one word I would explain Otter Lake right now. Fished tonight with no flags and also this weekend with again no flags! There was a local tournament on the lake this weekend with two fish caught in 9 hours fishing! One 19 1/2 Northern and one 12 Walleye! If anyone if thinking of fishing this lake I would highly suggest somewhere else! It's not worth the time and effort!
