Great day on the water today. Ice was surprisingly good with 8-10 inches and lots of active fish. Lots of flags with bass, northern, and catfish. Plenty of 3-4 inch perch
Problem now is not the ice but the landings. Need wood bridges to get out on ice. They deteriorated fast from time on the ice to time off. Almost everyone walked out but there were side by sides on the ice that were trying to figure out where to go to get off the ice. Got on fine but could not get off in same spots. Lots of open holes out there because they have been drilled and are not refreezing or just have skim ice.
If you can get on the ice tomorrow get out and have fun. After that it is going to be tough to get out on the ice due to poor landings.

Fished out here, joining what looked like hundreds of others for the Lions Club derby yesterday. We had a few flags and landed 3 pike (all small) and a catfish. My tip down kept me fairly busy with small perch. Heard the biggest perch registered was like 6 and a half inches long. I might've been able to beat that yesterday but I stayed out there in hopes of landing a bigger fish. Looked like one person was chasing a flag that others would also get some flags. Was true in the area we were anyhow. Ice was 4 inches of sloppy, white ice and 8 inches of clear ice where we were. Some water on the ice and the landing was real sloppy when we went in. Most holes had weeds in them but most were laying on the bottom. I was surprised how clear the water was. First time on the lake so it being a super shallow lake I didn't expect clear water so I didn't bring my camera with to put down the holes.
Yes, a friend of mine just contacted me about the missing bag he has it. Feel free to shoot me a text at 920-229-3494 and I can connect you guys.
