Lake Puckaway

TeekieTook- the fisheree was postponed and moved to February 17th 

Anyone know of any current ice conditions on Puckaway? Hoping to have some fishable ice with the coming scheduled tournament on the 13th. Am hoping to get in a day or two before the tournament and try out some spots.

Coach and I were thinking the same thing.  

Puck is 1.5 hours from Hartford , has it been cold enough in Hartford to make ice? …. No, same here

Thinking of driving up just wondering if there is any walkable ice on the lake yet?  We don't have any down by Hartford yet.  Thanks for any help

Trucks at oak landing yesterday, but be safe out there . A few spots froze up much later than the first ice.

Generally speaking, yes, it is.

Alas, old man P'way is full of challenges. Some years are good. Some are not. Now there are weeds.

Yet, ​we carry on and ​pursue the Pike.

I have never fished Puckaway before open water or on the ice. But this year I want to try out some new lakes once we get some ice. Is Puckaway a good ice fishing lake?
