Went to find some perch and saw some nice spots to try for bass on the way out to the lake. Fun few catches early on around 10-11, very few perch into the afternoon. Surface temp was getting up over 60 in the northeast bay. Perch were caught towards west and south dropoffs in 10+ FOW, mostly small, biggest was 8.5"

Hey all, there are some very interesting things happening in the world of wake enhancement devices that I would like to share. I primarily fish further north, but this is a Wisconsin issue, and I think this is the right place and method to share. The link above takes you to the Lakes at Stake website. Lakes at Stake is a recently founded organization by fishermen from Southeastern Wisconsin to expose the dangers that enhanced wake sports pose to our beloved lakes. Lakes at Stake is fighting to keep small and medium-sized lakes safe from wake enhancement devices; property damage, shoreline degradation, lake bottom scouring, and the spread of invasives through ballasts are some of the dangers from wake enhancement devices. Their goal is to prohibit enhanced wake sports on lakes smaller than 1,500 acres. The Lakes at Stake website provides the evidence and reasoning to justify why this is important for the health of our lakes. A donation will help fund the necessary components to try and counter the boating industry's powerful lobbyists in Madison. These massive corporations do not care about the effects that their product has on our lakes and have a lot of power in the legislature to swing politicians' votes. It won't be easy, but the more people that get on board and spread the word, the better chance we have at protecting our lakes. As fishermen, it is our job to be stewards of the lakes we fish, and I believe this is a worthy cause to support.

With the lack of rain I was wondering if I would have an issue getting my boat down the channel? I have a 1750 fishhawk. Any info appreciated.

Thanks big time madcelt for that rock report. My wife wants to fish the lake this coming Wednesday and that'll be valuable  info. Maybe something will be done about it before we launch but I'll hug the dock just the same.. Also any tips for gills appreciated. Usually fish Pewaukee but she hates any boat traffic while sitting in my rock & rolling pea pod 14' Alumacraft and I understand Oconomowoc is relatively quieter.  Been many years since I ventured on this lake.

Just a heads up.  A few large rocks fell off the landscaping/anti erosion side of the launch and are concealed under water.  Stay as close to the dock as possible when launching or you’ll lose a trailer light.  Luckily just my trailer tire hit it tonight

Big_D, you’re right about the rate.
Think they change an extra $1.00 when the attendant is there,
which is only on the weekends.

Late report from Sat.  Targetted bass for the first couple hours or so... managed to wrangle up a half dozen.  Nice 19.5" smallie, 18 & 17" largeis andsome little'ns.  Nicer fish came on tube jigs along with a 24" pike.  Smaller fish on wacky rig yum dingers.

Switched to gills for the next few hours... shoulda kept bass fishing :)  Lots of tiny gills and perch but keepers were hard to come by.  Managed to wrangle up enough for breakfast though... can't beat bluegills & eggs.

Fighting... I buy the season pass, so I don't pay close attention,  but I believe current launch rates are somewhere between ?$10 -$12 depending on if attendant is present.  Might want to bring a couple extra bucks just to be safe.

Good Luck!

D.
