Great day on the water with a very nice father and son team from Iowa. We launched the Boat just before 6am and fished till 11 am. Water temperature was 72.5 when we started fishing and around 77.5 when we headed back to the launch. Winds were very light the entire trip. Today we started jigging channel edge in 14-20 plus feet of water. Mid morning we trolled cranks and boards on main lake flat in 12-18 feet of water. Last hour we went back jigging.

Out today on petenwell with the same crew from Tuesday, Scott his son in law Will and granddaughter Catherine...hos and daughter Cassie took the day off.

We started shallow in 4 to 9 feet but quickly made a move to 10 to 17 trolling Flickr shads and salmo hornets. The wind this morning was brutal and knee it would blow us off but we did manage a half day. My walleye bite was again great. We picked up  6 legals in less than 2.5 hours after our move and a few whitebass! Left in June I have the 15-18 open and 21-27. I am looking to fill about half of them if you want to get out smiling on this hot bite!

Fishing has been very good last couple weeks!! We have been fishing- main lake points, humps and the edges of the channel in heavy wood. With warm water temperatures the fish have been really starting to suspend pretty good. Water temperature has been in the upper 60’s at night to lower 70’s during the day and warmer on days with no wind. Last week majority of our fish cam on minnows, last few days really didn’t matter. Most mornings we have been catching a few fish up shallow in 4-15 feet of water, this past week the have been on the edge in 12-20 suspected around the wood, moving a little deeper as the day goes on.
Anyone looking to het out on the water, I have a few openings left for month of june-July

Be safe, let’s go fishing!

Hey Sam, do you have the tag numbers? I caught one with a tag earlier this year and maybe you caught it too.

A very fun half day with Paul today on petenwell. He is learning the lake and various techniques to be productive. We targeted 10 to 17 today along a main channel edge. The bite was good this morning catching 4 legals, numerous nice crappie and dumped as many crappie as we caught at edge of boat, perch, whitebass and some sheepshead. Today we caught the second  tagged fish two days in a row! Tomorrow is my returning family from yesterday and I am thinking of checking out some new territory I've not checked yet this year off a hunch and Intel from a good friend!

I have dates left available this month and throughout summer if your looking to get in on a good bite, making memories and catching a good old fashioned Wisconsin fish fry!

On petenwell today, this bite is crazy fun! Scott and his daughter Cassie, son in law Will and granddaughter Cat have been out before with me and this was day one of two. They are out again Thursday!  I'm fishing 9 to 22 ft of water and a variety of colors. We caught a 4 man limit of walleye today, tons and tons of shorts, whitebass, crappie and sheepshead and had on mid 30s to 40 northern that decided to toss a bait at my head at a high rate of speed! I still got cat like reflexes thankfully! I'll apologize for the photo dump but having fun like this with families is exactly who I am and what I do!

Are you ready to get out making memories?

Didn't get on the water until 2:00.It was pretty hot but there was enough of a breeze to make it bearable. I only stayed out until 5:00 as the storms were coming. Caught a cat and a small walleye on fatheads. Nothing on crawlers. Still a nice day.

Friday I had Tim out. We caught walleye both legals and shorts! Tim is a multi time fisherman on my boat and one of my longest lifelong fishing friend! Saturday I was honored to do our annual veterans event that enough thanks can not be said to Jason Mata for putting together! We trolled Saturday morning putting 6 species in the boat with multiple legal walleye as well Mike and Mark talking, bonding and smiling...my heart was unbelievably happy as we caught fish! Sunday I had a fantastic father and son team out who quickly became fast friends! We had a phenomenal morning catching uncountable walleye jigging! The day included a 22 inch slot multiple legals and shorts galore! Our bite did however take a turn about 11am and then it became work! All jigging this weekend came in 10 to 18 feet and you had to be in or very close to the wood with livebait. Trolling Saturday was from 3 to 9 ish feet.

I am full up for a bit now, which means I'll be staying on the current bite! I have June 7-10 available then some mid to late June if you want to get out fishing, smiling and having fun! I'd be honored to have you on the boat.
