Thanks for the replies guys, I'll put the chains on. Good luck out there!
I was out yesterday and got by without chains but they would definitely help.
It’s gonna be tough travels with out chains the snow is drifting with all the shove ice
Same question is being asked all over....how much of that snow stuck on the ice? Can we get around by atv? Put the chains on them?
Took a drive this afternoon. Parking lot was almost full. Saw about a dozen people scattered out on the ice. Stay clear of creek.
Is anyone fishing off Sugar Creek County Park, would like to head out Tomorrow morning, what is the ice condtions, can you still go out with an ATV
It appears that there is open water out from the landing and to the right from the flow of Sugar Creek.
Anyone know if there are any guides that run out of sugar creek? Looking for shack rental
In my opinion, both ATV's and snowmobiles will get stuck at Sugar Creek if conditions aren't any better than yesterday. Was very slushy with about 10" of snow and about 2" of water underneath. Walking wasn't the greatest either. As long as you have good bottom conditions, probably not necessary to go much deeper than 8' depending on the day. Plenty of fish not far from the landing. Probably higher numbers of fish in deeper water?
Good luck to all.
Thanks for the head up, was thinking it would be tough but not that bad.
