150 boats out there today.  Let's see how many fish reports are posted.  Fishing was slow for us so we went to Goeno's.  Fishing was better there.  BB

This was taken from the DNR website. When fishing next to private property you cannot cross the Ordinary High Water Mark. This also means that tackle cannot be placed on the shoreline. The OHWM is clearly visible on the Oconto River and is usually underwater during Spring. The OHWM does not change with temporary water fluctuations.

It's go time !  To the slobs that open up a new Husky Jerk and leave the packaging along the river. Wtf take it home with you. I don't understand how anybody that enjoys the outdoors would want to see Garbage all over the place!

You can get a little farther than holtwood but you'll eventually get to susies rapids, by Copper Culture Park.

Partly Sunny
Water: 74°
Fished the Oconto river for the first time 7.23.23 in the afternoon. I put in at the Hi Seas boat launch and fished up to Holtwood park in town. Caught a bunch of small perch, rockbass, and smallmouth with only one 12" smallie and one 15.5" smallie. Mostly threw jerkbaits targeting deep pockets/breaks with submerged structure. Water temp was 74 and visibility was almost 5ft.
I was planning on going further upstream but there was a storm rolling in. The river was shallow around Holtwood Park & Kwik Trip but still plenty navigable in a 14ft shortshaft v-hull with one guy (although I used the electric bow mount to be safe.). Gauge says 300cfs.
Does anybody know about how far upstream I could make it in this boat in these conditions? Obviously spring flood would be more navigable.
