Just drove down to Stoddard public landing this afternoon. Landing looks good for walking yet-still be cautious. Spot where atv went through not marked but noticeable. Other access is at Waters Edge-turn right after crossing tracks. Few ATVs and side by side out, but looks like easy walking.

So is there another way to get on besides boat landing

Ice at Stoddard boat landing is not safe. See attached.  Saw a guy fall in twice, second time in water over his head.  Use a spud bar if you venture out.  Stay safe.

The wife and I were out from the public boat landing Saturday. We got there about 1:30 PM and fished till dark . She had 13 I had 6 . 9" to 12 1/2" perch. Rosie reds on tipdowns did the best.

A friend lost a jig box on the ice out from waters edge. Can identify if any one found it. Lost this past Thursday or Friday. Do the right thing if you found it. Lots of memories in that box. Thanks!

Fished the islands this week - Tues - Fri. With 19 inches of ice and 8 inches of snow on top, makes for tough walking and fishing. Dropped camera several times and seeing most smaller fish, but weeds are still green.

Plenty of lookers on the locator. Plenty of dinks to sort through. Maybe 2 keepers per hour. Best - aggressive bite,  was 4 PM - 5PM. Otherwise slow.

Fishing was slooooow yesterday. Started between waters edge and boat launch, a few small gills that we tossed back. Headed out to the end of slingshot and drilled piles of holes looking for fish. Would find them and get them to follow, but no bite. We tossed every color, every bait, even the kitchen sink at them. Moved around a few more times without much more luck. About 5 keepers total. From sun up to sun down.
