Lake Michigan Bender Park

Ran down to check launch. 1 boat out and 1 just came in. Guy that came in said lots of fish. Got out ok, but said the waves made it easier. South winds blowing waves in.

There was a boat beached at the mouth of the launch. 

This launch isn't usable until it's dredged or the water levels come up. I'd say the only thing getting out of there right now would be a kayak. Don't waste your time.

Is this launch usable?
If someone can take an up to date picture of the launch, please post. 
Fishing the Power plant is good in the colder months. 

Bender only good for one thing going on a bender

Can anyone confirm that the launch is functional for an 18' aluminum boat.

Bender is very difficult at best to launch.  We launched an 1875 Lund Crossover XS and got stuck in the gap trying to turn south to get out.  Had to hop out and push her back to the launch area before she would float.  That said, someone did get out that morning before us.  Don't know what their ride was but it had to be light and small.  When I hopped out in my muck boots, water was NOT over the top of them ... guessing maybe 8 inches deep, 10 at most.  Racine or National Ave are your best bets, sorry to say.

How's getting out the harbor lately? I know it is very shallow, but is it still doable? I have a 1875 Lund Impact..hoping to get out Sunday. It's been a few years since launching here..

Has anyone been able to launch down here.  I have a 17 foot lund Impact.
