It's good to see it's on the radar screen. Hopefully, they're able to get things done by that schedule. We'll see.

It’s about time….

It has been a few years since I launched out of Bender and I remember it being a deeper channel in between sand bars. Seeing that a person could stand, with water only to their knees, is ridiculous for a public boat launch. 
Soon a person will have to use a flat bottom boat and a push pole to get out of the harbor. 
It's a shame that Milwaukee county parks does not take care of what they should be. 

Hit Bender Saturday morning before light.  Hadn't been here in over a year, so I was surprised to see how shallow it was.  Got stuck multiple times trying to get out, but getting back in during daylight with the trolling motor was a breeze.
Caught a few fish casting the boils, but it was obvious they weren't there.  Found fish trolling 25 fow south of the plant.  J14 Rapalas and scatter raps were hot, especially orange.  Ran boards with flat lines, leadcore and riggers.  All caught fish, including a triple.  Marked the spot, pulled lines and casted a jigging spoon, which also caught fish.
