First ice 2025

spudded my way out to fish the last couple hours of dusk tonight. No flags. Waukesha county lake 3” nice solid ice hundreds of yards out.

Not to be a downer but remember how many people were rescued last season. Give it some time. No sense putting others at risk. Jmo. ​

Went by yesterday and a guy had gone through he's ok but was trying to retrieve his gear! Went back today and it's not good 2 pressure ridges are trying to open One goes northwest towards the point all the way across the lake. The other goes due north to the new condominiums both are very wet about 15ft on each side of the cracks. Anyways made my way to a spot to spud out to check the ice got out about 30 ft a small 2 inches.The boat landing had an open hole yesterday from where they pulled the pier. Anyone who heads out should use extreme caution and don't become a Darwin victim. It's going to be dangerous for a while yet.Pike lake

I stopped by a city park at a SE Waukesha county lake  I wasn't surprised to see a few guys out. WAS surprised to see what looked like quad tracks headed out. Probably stayed near the park but still....

Pike Lake looked iced over yesterday. l  viewed from hwy 60 
I'm looking for a report. Has anyone checked ice thickness?

Going out in Washington or sheboygan or fond du lac county this Saturday anyone wanna go?

Made it out on small lake in the southern half of the state. Had 2.5 inches of ice around entire lake.
