Went fishing last weekend caught small perch marked a lot of fish just not active. Lot of people were out too.
Going to be up in Townsend for X-Mas this weekend. Is there an easy access onto this lake and does anyone have any recommended spots. Any intel would be greatly appreciated.
26° - 30° F
Ice was solid and 5” in most areas. Fishing was quiet however

Bass have been shallow, and suspended deeper. Lily pads with frogs or graph over deep weeds as they've been suspending eating bait and coming to the surface. Walleyes down the coontail/cabbage lines in 8 to 12 FOW and bluegills/perch in mixed weeds/sandgrass. Fishing has been more difficult than past years and boat traffic has been bad even on weekdays.
Really any weed areas.
You can get tubing fit in but lots of circling.
Any areas of the lake you could point me towards? Bass walleye panfish. Is the lake big enough for tubing with the shoreline restrictions?
Fishing has been very hit or miss all year.
Slow no wake on Archibald from 5pm to 10am. There is a special no wake within 250 feet from shore ordinance with the water at a record high this year.
Coming up to spend a week at a cabin on the lake. How has fishing been this summer? Any local ordinances to be aware of, like slow no wake during certain times or areas to avoid?
Thanks for the info
Very slushy in many areas. Deep snow in others.
Only about 12 inches of ice in most places with crust covered slush above the ice. Too thin for trucks in my opinion and likely to get stuck often.
