Gilmer lake has been fairly good. Due to the excessive rain and cold fronts that can't make up their minds, the fishing has been hit or miss.
Concentrate on the edges using June bug or green pumpkin weightless worms or extreme light weight.
Fish on the East side next to the dam and coves.
Grass is still thick in areas and the black funky stuff on bottom is crazy.
All in all, not to bad of fishing.
