Long Lake is a 460-acre lake located four miles north of Eden Valley in south central Stearns County. It has a maximum depth of 35 feet and joins the Sauk River Chain of Lakes via a navigable channel into Horseshoe Lake. Walleye is a primary managed species in Long Lake, although it is probably a more popular destination for panfish, Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, and Northern Pike anglers. The Walleye fishery has been managed through fry stocked every other year since 2007 with fingerling stocking as needed.
The average catch of young of the year (YOY) Walleye for Long Lake from 2007 to 2021 was 27/hour(on-time).
