Edward is stocked annually with 2 million walleye fry. Night electrofishing was conducted on October 2nd, 2023, to monitor the abundance of young-of-the-year (YOY) walleyes. The total sample time was 2 hours and 2 minutes, resulting in a YOY walleye catch rate of 15.7/hour run-time. These fish ranged in size from 4.7" to 6.8", with a mean length of 5.5". Walleyes that were age 1 and older were captured at a rate of 14.3/hour run-time. They ranged in size from 8.2" to 19.8" with a mean length of 12.0".

We used to have a cabin on this lake back in the late 70s to 1986. Back then it was a phenominal lake with tons of walleye, nice sized pike, loads of largemouth and if you found them some monster sunnies. My last few trips have been bad for walleye. I haven't tried for the other species, but the walleye fishing has been poor.
