I prefer Van Auken lake due to rush lake has too much weeds. I really didnt have too much luck on this lake. I do have a fish story thou. My grandfather who had passed away serveral years back has told me a long time ago in the 50's him and a couple of buddies went to the fishery and bought some sturgeon and Thought it would be funny to put it in rush lake. Before he passed away around 1995 a couple of fishermen spotted something that looked like a huge tree floating in the water they got closer to it and claimed they seen a sturgeon the size of a small school bus and suddenly the fish swam off. This isn't a hoax or a fairy tale there is one in there. From what I remeber him telling me they put around five in there. But only one has been spotted and scared the living @#%* out of the guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heres something to think about.
