Hey all .... I post alot on Lake Link in Wisconsin and there is very little posting here in Michigan. No matter .... spend several days kayaking and fishing on Little Lake with my brother. We mainly fished the shallow part of the lake. We did fish several hours on the deep part of the lake but had absolutely no luck there. On the shallow part by the boat ramp side of lake there are lily pads and that's where we found fish. Fished with live bait on the outside edge of weeds with live bait. Leeches, crawlers and redworms. All pretty much worked equally as well. We got bluegills and largemouth bass including a big one at 22". Caught several around 17" and a bunch of bluegills. We kept some bluegills including some around 9" but there were lots of small ones. All the docks we cast to with live bait held rock bass. We could have caught a hundred of them. Nice lake. No heavy fishing pressure or boat pressure. Never fished the UP before. Lakes in southern Wisconsin get lots of vegetation and some have rock piles. Did not find really any structure on Little Lake.
