Many smaller area lakes have begun to freeze over. Most large lakes are mostly ice free. All docks and hoists are out for the season. Area lake levels are currently low.

The walleye bite has picked up as water temperatures cool.

Area lake temperatures have been dropping consistently lately with many in the upper 40s. The walleye bite around the area has also been picking up. Almost all docks, hoists and courtesy docks have now been pulled out for the season. Most vegetation is now completely laid down so finding structure to fish around may be harder. Lake levels are also lower making launching a boat in some areas more difficult.
