Fishing conditions remain excellent on the Mississippi River and boat ramps are still open as of the start of December. Water levels have stabilized. The clarity is good. Please be mindful that the river is low, and people need to be careful not to back off the ends of boat ramps. Use the minimum amount of ramp to float boat and be careful to not damage prop. If you have angling questions, please call the Bellevue Fisheries Management at 563-880-8781.

The water level at Rock Island is at 5.2 feet. Water clarity is excellent and water temperature is 34. When River conditions are this low, be careful not to back off the ends of the boat ramps.

Walleye - No Report: Look for walleye and sauger in the tailwater areas. Anglers often use a simple jig and minnow rig.

Fishing conditions remain excellent on the Mississippi River. Water levels are again receding this week. The clarity is good. Please be mindful that the river is low, and people need to be careful not to back off the ends of boat ramps. Use the minimum amount of ramp to float boat and be careful to not damage prop. If you have angling questions, please call the Bellevue Fisheries Management at 563-880-8781.

The water level at Rock Island is at 5.4 feet. Water clarity is excellent and water temperature is 42. When River conditions are this low, be careful not to back off the ends of the boat ramps.

Walleye - No Report: Look for walleye and sauger in the tailwater areas. Anglers often use a simple jig and minnow rig.

Please be mindful that the river is low, and people need to be careful not to back off the ends of boat ramps. Use the minimum amount of ramp to float boat and be careful to not damage prop. If you have angling questions, please call the Bellevue Fisheries Management at 563-880-8781.

The water level at Rock Island is at 6.7 feet. Water clarity is excellent and water temperature is 43. When River conditions are this low, be careful not to back off the ends of the boat ramps.

Walleye - No Report: No reports yet from Pool 15 but expect anglers to be fishing the tailwaters mostly using a jig and minnow.

White Bass - Good: Look for feeding schools of white bass especially in the tailwater areas. Some hybrid striped bass can be caught within the white bass schools.

Sauger - Good: Some sauger now being reported with anglers using a jig and minnow or a jigging spoon.

The clarity is good. Please be mindful that the river is low, and people need to be careful not to back off the ends of boat ramps. Use the minimum amount of ramp to float boat and be careful to not damage prop. If you have angling questions, please call the Bellevue Fisheries Management at 563-880-8781.

The water level at Rock Island is at 4.6 feet. When River conditions are this low, be careful not to back off the ends of the boat ramps. Water clarity is excellent and water temperature is 52.

Smallmouth Bass - Good: Fish along Rock lines with moderate current. Use small spinners and crankbaits.

White Bass - Good: Look for feeding schools of white bass especially in the tailwater areas. Some hybrid striped bass can be caught within the white bass schools.
