Fox Chain - Channel Lake

Shore fishing around channel from Lake Marie from 2.30 am to 5.30 am using all kinds of walleye lures and Nightcrawlers and fatheads on the bottom.No bites.Water levels normal.

Anyone out on the south end out of the Turtle today? How are the shorelines holding up?Thinking about coming from Rockford for the derby tomorrow!

Fished from noon till dark by choppers bite was super slow could only get a few fish pounding bottom and barely lifting it off bottom . Lots of dying shad swimming around and minnows on bottom . Couch a couple . Thought it was loaded w fish but they were shad and minnows mainly . This is all 2 of us came up with 

CAUGHT ABOUT A LOT OF FISH YESTERDAY.   ONLY 7 KEEPERS WITH A FEW CRAPPIES.  IT WAS ATTACK OF THE DINKY 5" GILLS.  DID NOT APPEAR ANYONE WAS GETTING MANY DECENT SIZED GILLS.   

I was on south end of channel.   Solid 8” for as many holes I drilled.   Marked fish. But no bites. .  

OUT IN THE COLD YESTERDAY.  LOTS OF GILLS AND SOME CRAPPIES.  SOME ON PLASTIC SOME ON SPIKES.   ONLY KEPT TWO GILLS AND SOME CRAPPIES.  MOST OF THE GILLS  WERE CHUNKY BUT UNDER 7".   

Anyone know if we have safe ice anywhere in lake county

Crappies have been on fire the last few days. Have fished north and south chain but south seems to be better for size and numbers. Fish up to 15. 

GOT INTO CRAPPIES AND YELLOWS YESTERDAY.   PLASTICS AND SOME ON MINNOWS.
WATER TEMP WAS 42-44
HOPEFULLY GET OUT IN THE BOAT ANOTHER TIME OR TWO

there haven't been any fishing reports since 2/18 does no one want to help or give out helpful information, just curious was checking to see how the fishing is in this lake that's all
