just wondering what species are you targeting? Crappie
Drove past there today. It is ice covered, with dusting of snow. With some cold low temps 4 out of the next 5 nights, maybe safe early next week. Anyone who has fished there know what area is deepest?
Any Ice report?
I agree, I took a drive around a big stretch of the pec today. Roads closed, houses almost with water in them. It will be a long time. Boats been ready just need water to go down.......
Pec is at highest level since 1933. It will be a long while before back to fishing.
Was by trask bridge yesterday and it was flooded.
Has anyone been fishing Trask Bridge or just drove by? I know the Pec is at or near flood stage.Wondering if you can get into the park and fish. Thanks!
I used to fish it years ago never got anything decent I did see one Crappie caught over 12 inches , and an 8 inch bluegill , I manage a 13 "largemouth bass , I fished for northerns with no luck when it floods I've seen a lot of northern in the spring time , I also took a snowmobile West of the horseshoe surprised how far back the slough really goes , my father told me the only way water gets into that area is a pipe that when river gets very high enough it flows into the slough ??
Anyone ever get anything other than dinks here? Caught tons of gills and crappies but not a single decent one...all very small
