Fished Sunday 12 - sunset, slow day ended up with 5 between 7.5 - 8.5", wax worm tungsten jig, nothing on plasitcs.  Windy, had to sit in shanty or it would blow away which made it difficult to move around.  Saw another group pull a +35" northern out, released.

Ice estimated @ 10" with water on top.  We'll see what rain does to shoreline, may try to get out in AMWednesday

Water was super murky on the north side.   Fish had lockjaw.   Caught a few more towards the west side of the north hole in shallower.  6-7FOW .   The normal spots were dry.     Missed a few flags to very lite bites and no runs.    Steve caught a small bass on tip up.   Towards 4pm fishing more west in the shallow areas I lost a HUGE toad gill at the hole after it wrapped my transducer.      Water on the large deep hole area towards the south had clearer water but no fish on camera.  Fish in there normal spots but hunkered down, not moving much in murky water.

Hard day for all.

But to the guys in the newer clam ice suits.    you guys are hilarious.   I was laughing so hard I couldn't get my jigging cadence right.

Just an update from my last post. Ice is better. Remember no ice is safe ice. Fishing slow but people are out.

Caution, Deep Lake is not safe. My nephew checked the ice yesterday. He measured 2” or less. I would wait to go out on this body of water, snow is messing things up right now. Might be ready by the weekend, I would recommend spudding your way out. Stay safe, no fish is worth your life.

I am trying to find a safe and good lake for some crappie bluegill etc. Was wondering how is the ice doing what can I catch there and where would I even be able to park thanks!
