Anyone here forage for other than morels? Lots of good stuff out now...I pretty much restrict myself to HOW/maitake (Grifola frondosa) and shrimp of the woods (Entoloma aborvitum/aborted entoloma) during fall.. I might take a COW (L.sulferus) or a few inkies or wood blewitt but I really don't have foraging time any more,never mind prep time. Honeys are just about done around here now and last week I saw some enoki mushrooms.
BTW,I think chanterelles are far better than morels and almost as foolproof to ID. This past spring I tried the "poisonous" false morels. Gyromitra spp. Delicious. And to think I've assed on them for decades thinking they were toxic.
