My hunting buddy in Kentucky sent me this from his place where I've bow hunted over the years. Pretty impressive when you think this buck still has 3 months to grow before September. Pretty sure he wants me to make the trip down to his place. Very rough country to hunt and I'm on my own when there. This old guy might have to give it one more try come fall.
Saturday, when I was reviving the mid-40's musky I caught, a school of about 30 bluegills emerged from the basin depths. The gills swam right up to the musky and seemed to be looking it over. It was almost like they were trying to tell me..."take that thing with you, we don't want her out here with us anymore." I was smiling/laughing inside a bit as I watched it unfold. Once the musky got its strength and wits back, the bluegills disappeared, like they knew they were in trouble again. Lol.
Pic of the musky on the surface with 9 bluegills circled in the pic. I had to alter the picture's brightness/contrast/color to remove the glare on the water to see the panfish.

After church today I grabbed a rod, one spinner bait, and took a few casts from a local shoreline spot that I know. I was surprised and all smiles when this toad of a largemouth bass chased down my offering. I taped it at 22.5 inches, by far the biggest largemouth I've ever caught. After a couple of quick photos, see ya later. I wish I had a scale with me, could've been a 6+ lb'er.
