We purchased our Dodge Grand Caravan new in 2021.  This week while getting an oil change it was discovered that the transmission fluid is leaking, and we were down a quart.  It's under 60000 miles and six years so it should be covered on the powertrain warranty.  So, we call our friendly Dodge dealer and find out it was built in Canada and no warranty in the states.  WTF!  Didn't read the fine print but really.

Fortunately, we took out an extended warranty, and it should be covered, we'll find out in a few weeks.

I will never go to that dealer again and highly doubt I'll ever get another FCA product.

Deerlake - remember that Hong was something like 12 points ahead of Crowley in whatever poll was most publicized. The more the press fudges the numbers the fewer people believe them....I don't think many people stay home on voting day because some poll told them their candidate is a lost cause.

I am trying to be as apolitical an observer as possible when commenting online.

Do they think all people are stupid?
There is a major Wisc newspaper taking an online poll on the Governors race here. The highly liberal newspaper in Madison is only allowing their highly suspected liberal subscribers to take the poll.
Duh!
Just remember politicians never have enough of your money.

I haven't pulled an anchor in 20 years or right after they came out with spot lock. I feel your pain! Not too bad if you're up there for the weekend, but if you're up there for the whole week, that's going to be a rough one if you're old like me. Good luck!

My spot lock and my electric anchor both broke while I was up north.

Lots of nosy bee's right now. Weather in the garden, on the deck or in the yard, there is one buzzing around my face.

I have been trying to get rid of a bunch of hornets that made their home in a rotted tree root. They are some very defensive and aggressive bees. Tried spraying with coup[le different pesticides, killed some, but more kept appearing. Last night I tried a suggested method of dumping a mixture of water and dawn dish soap down the hole. Used about 3 gallons, and then put a rag and weight over hole to keep any from leaving or entering.  Will check later today on results.   The tree root is part of a rooting stump that was ground out some years back. Not sure how much is rotting underground and how deep the nest could be .
I don't mind normal honey bees, but hornets not so much.

The circus and controversy is intentional designed for the purpose of attracting your attention.  It worked for all star wrestling and Jerry Springer and it will attract the same people to watch wnba thats how money gets made

I think it's pretty cool to see GUYS standing up for WOMENS sports, while the WOMEN degrade other WOMEN for standing up for WOMEN.

Like I said, it's more of a reality TV show. But the double standard is absurd. CC has done more for the WNBA than anyone has, ever, and ever will; and they hate her for it. It's absolutely hysterical.

So I will gladly wear my XX-XY t-shirt in support of Sophie Cunningham when they plan in Minneapolis. Standing up for women's sports in more ways than one!

The first that WNBA really got on my radar was when Brittany Griner was held in a Russian prison for personal consumption weed possession. I'm guessing that's the first it got on many people's "radar".

Russian collusion? j/k

I looked online to be sure I spelled Caitlin Clark's name right and the 2nd entry (that wasn't a video) was Afro.com. The headline from 7/26/26 was "How Black WNBA players became collateral damage in the Caitlin Clark cultural war."

First sentence of the article: "Caitlin Clark.....is a tool of weaponization against black women".

I could clearly see that in the videos. lol

Um, no. The entire WNBA thing is something I need to have some awareness of because it's beyond sports. The topic comes up and I don't want to get my information from the guy who talks the loudest at dinner. I'd rather be informed prior to someone shooting off his mouth and trying to dominate a conversation.

But imo, It's all BS. The main narrative and all the little side narratives like the one from Afro. It all contributes to my desire to cash out and move to Namibia or the Falkland islands or somewhere else remote.

My niece runs an ayahuasca "clinic" in the foothills of the Peruvian Andes. She travelled the world looking for her place in it and she thinks she found it in "helping others" with "sacred" plant medicine on "sacred land". Trippy tourism is legal if the dosage is administered by an aboriginal shaman and of course, this shaman has a FB page where she sells authentic native clothing made with llama wool.....My niece posts every few weeks on IG and FB when she gets to civilization but for the most part she's completely off grid.

While I kind of disagree with the whole premise of travelling thousands of miles and spending thousands of dollars to essentially drop acid in an attempt to deal with a personal trauma, I can see the allure for folks like my niece....Drop out of western society and it's screwed-up media-driven culture.

I have zero interest in basketball, either playing it or watching others play it.  I have less than zero interest in the WNBA, although if this turns out to be serious, I could be tempted to watch it...

I've grown to enjoy the WNBA this year. It's a drama-fest and as long as you look at it as a soap opera or reality TV, it's pretty entertaining. If you watch it to watch a good sport, you'd be disappointed.
We are actually going to a Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx game for my birthday next month. Sophie Cunningham is my girl so I'm excited to see her and Caitlyn Clark in action.

I'd watch the WNBA over MLB any day, and since that's all that's on currently, WNBA wins.

Plugged in my onboard charger and got a solid red light on one of the banks.  Checked the owner's manual and it said that it won't charge the battery if it's bad.  Checked the trolling motor and it was fine.  Checked the starting motor battery and nothing worked.  I get it replaced tomorrow.
Could have been worse, I might have discovered it at the launch. Gears, wires or t.ts sooner or late it will give you $hit.

They want you to like soccer too, Thrash.

I get it, it's the biggest sport worldwide. But I get really tired of seeing and hearing about it. I get that others might like it, but it's just not my thing.

I'm pretty sick and tired of the WNBA getting stuck in my face every time I look at news sites.  So many stories getting written - makes me wonder if the league is failing (it is) and they're just trying to build interest any way they can with the trans stuff and abusing players, etc...  The nonstop griping stories gets pretty old real fast.  I can honestly say I have never watched a minute of their leaque and wouldn't be affected in the least if the leaque didn't exist.  But then, I feel the same way about the NBA so there's that.
