We purchased our Dodge Grand Caravan new in 2021.  This week while getting an oil change it was discovered that the transmission fluid is leaking, and we were down a quart.  It's under 60000 miles and six years so it should be covered on the powertrain warranty.  So, we call our friendly Dodge dealer and find out it was built in Canada and no warranty in the states.  WTF!  Didn't read the fine print but really.

Fortunately, we took out an extended warranty, and it should be covered, we'll find out in a few weeks.

I will never go to that dealer again and highly doubt I'll ever get another FCA product.

Not my gripe, but World Cup Fans are surprised when finding out they can’t take “Ranch Dressing” on the plane with them! Lol Ranch is probably one of those “Tastes good with anything” condiments.

If upgrading to the pro membership got rid of them, like it does for a lot of subscription services, I would actually consider paying for the membership. But as far as I know, nothing you can do besides complain or ignore!

Really getting tired of these ads that constantly pop up at the bottom of my screen and along the side bar.
Any suggestions on how to permanently get rid of them?

Bodhi - you reminded me. There was a guy at the launch when I left who seemed to be struggling with his front safety chains and stern tie-down straps. In fact, it looked more like macrame than simple tie-down. I asked if something was broken as I have all sorts of stuff in my truck including a full tool set.

Then I saw that the trailer was a bit too small for the boat. Winch was broken. Numerous other issues needing attention and repair...

And the guy seemed buzzed. Not drunk, drunk, but not just a little 420 either. I made the decision not to call it in but I have - at that boat launch - called LE on someone clearly chitfaced with a pile of empties in the boat.

Fishing a 3000 acre lake today. Had the same guy in a pontoon come by me 3 separate times in 3 different spots at like 15 yards away. Each time I was like 200 yards off shore all by myself. I mean he clearly had to go out of his way to get that close to me as I wasnt in any kind of navigable channel or anything and there was zero other boats nearby. Some people are really weird. To top that off there was a BLI at the ramp when me and another guy were ready to take our boats out. He loaded his boat,  pulled up like 20 feet then proceeded to do straps, unload boat into car etc as he effectively blocked one of the 2 ramps. Weekend fishing is always an adventure for me on the lakes near home.

Gripe...

Went fishing yesterday on a roughly 750 acre lake yesterday for a couple/three hours. Nice weekend, I know. You'll always run into folks on the lake who's idea of consideration is different that your own - especially on weekends...

I was fishing bedded gills. Beds are in spots scattered all over the lake's shoreline. i was working an area between two piers all by myself when a pontoon boat approached. It looked like he was going to dock at the northernmost of the two piers so I slid over a bit to give him room...And he dropped anchor so close that I could make out what they were saying. This is a big lake, with 'spots" all over the place.

After a few minutes of fruitless fishing they pulled anchor to reposition. That's when I asked if I was in their way...."No, you're good".

Had they not had children aboard I would have repositioned myself right to where I had been before I slid over to be considerate.

My guess is that the boat captain lived on the lake and knew no other places to put the kids on fish. Big dollar party barge...Still - I wouldn't ever fish that close to someone when there's literally hundreds of good shoreline areas where bluegills are bedded....I moved and continued to catch fish where-ever I went.

If I wanted company, I would'a brought my own.

Oh, other gripe: Red lily beetles. I spent 1.5 hours today picking them and their grubs and their eggs  off my lilies. The grubs are nasty and covered in black wet goobery frass. P00p... I hadn't had time for gardening this year and  except for a little insecticidal soap on the lupine's aphid problem have pretty much allowed the mini-wildlife to run rampant thru my gardens.

(edit) And seriously? I The word p--p is considered "foul language"?

Here's a gripe...

In-laws are selling their WI condo and moving full-time to FL. While that doesn't bother me in the slightest, my wife is looking to "upgrade" with a lot of their furniture....OK, the cats have ruined our couches. Sort of. I don't mind letting them ruin two "pristine" couches...But I DO NOT want a recliner to replace one of them. I don't care how nice the dam thing is. My living room is too small for that, and it's comfortable just the way it is.

No, I don't want to upgrade my nightstand or one of my dressers either....I like putting my feet up on the coffee table and don't want one that's "like new".

But, if it comes right down to it, if she wants that stuff badly enough, I guess well take it,..AND, guess who will be moving it in. Not her and her daughter, that's for sure. Me, and my stepson will reluctantly be temporary "two men and a truck".

(edit)...so far..."Can you carry these two boxes downstairs?"...We have just become the proud owners of 100lbs of Christmas dishes. Yay!

The big problem with dry conditions is people throwing cigarette butts out their car windows, that starts a lot of fires out west and I'm sure it does everywhere else. Cars don't have ashtrays anymore what else do they do with their cigarette butts when they're done throw them out the window.

In dry conditions that could start a fire immediately

One of the holdovers from the COVID debacle seems to be the "personal shoppers".  Just made a rare stop at Wallyworld and the place was LOADED with people filling other people's orders. Now, I don't blame them as they have a job to do, however they are so focused on their electronics and locating items that they become oblivious to their surroundings.  Running into people and carts and just generally getting in the way.  They are really practiced at muttering, "sorry", "oops", and "excuse me".  This is caused by lazy people who don't want to get out of their vehicles, walk around, get exercise, and perhaps even be sociable.   I blame them 100%.

You can’t fix stupid! High fire danger today in most of Wisc. Burning ban in place. 20-30 mph winds and low humidity.
So some yahoos down the road decide to burn a giant brush pile at about noon today. Three volunteer fire departments and the DNR Fire Fighters dispatched. The did a great job and suppressed quickly. Many homes in area.
i hope they wrote them big tickets And charge them cost of suppression .
Burning permits required  till June 1st and  no burning before 6pm and a requirement that you need to check Wis Burn to see if burning required Before burning.
