i will go even further!

Tonight they squandered Imanagas best outing in over a month, he was great....and they squandered it not because of the pen, but because they could only muster 2 measly runs in that is historically the single best hitters park MLB has ever seen... against statistically the WORST PITCHER IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES!  ​his era was near 9 coming into this game....i think a little league team busted him up for 8 runs in 3 innings last week....but against these cubs the guy looked like a cy young candidate.

I struggle to find the positives...This team just cant drive in runs, they lead the league by a wide margin in runners stranded on base and in scoring position.  They have precisely 3 clutch hitters...PCA, Haap and Conforto and you need more than that to carry an offense.  They refuse to play small ball, i can't remember the last sac bunt...if guys are consistently striking out or popping up with guys on base, at least advance a runner with the out....id love to see the squeeze bunt come back into play with this team.

Bregman is looking like one of the worst signings of the past decade...god i hope he turns things around at some point, but I'm not holding my breath....but right now he's just one gigantic offensive liability.

A few positives with some hitters on the team.  A few positives from the pitching staff as well.  Seems like we can't get both working at the same time though! Injuries happen, but what the Cubs have experienced this year (especially on the pitching end) is excessive! Maybe we'll have a good second half of the season, who knows, but this is a 162 game season, so there's still a lot of ball to play!

a month ago they looked like the best team in the league....since then they have been the worst team in the league.

great defense, but it doesnt matter when your pitching staff (im looking at you starters...tallion is godawful) is giving up dingers like theyre pitching in the home run derby....this staff comfortably leads the league in hrs given up.

offensively theyre getting on base, but the more on base, the worse the hitting becomes....with the bases juiced theyre batting like ​.190...and with 2 outs, even worse.

in clutch situations Bregman might be the worst hitter in the NL.

Yea they are playing terrible! Going to visit the Rockies in their house starting tomorrow night. We have to start winning some games! GO CUBS!!!

Another game last night we should've won.  We had plenty of scoring opportunities, leaving the bases loaded then striking out next two batters, running into a double play, attempting to steal (actually I think that one worked).  Ugh, this team is the tale of two different teams showing up this year!

Well another come from behind victory today thanks to PCA and other players. Final score 3-2 in 10 innings! GO CUBS!!!

Well second game of the giants series this afternoon. Hopefully we can rectify the "No  Runs" syndrome  and get a victory today! GO CUBS!!!

Well we'll see what the cubs can do against those yard-birds. Sure hope the results after  these next three games end up with condolences passed on LOL!

Got some good offense again last night.  I was watching it muted during my son's Scout meeting, so I missed a lot of the game, but I did see the replay on PCA's slide. He knew right away as he walked off the field that he was safe and he was already high fiving everyone in the clubhouse, lol!
