135-145  gross minus deductions so less than that not a lot of mass but the points have a lot of length

Thoughts on what this might score?

Outside spread 25 1/2"

Thank you.

Thanks guys! I was thinking 3 1/2 simply because of location and lack of nutrition hurting the gene pool but if they are indeed 2 1/2 that’s very encouraging to me and maybe there’s more potential than I originally thought. I’m just trying to set some guidelines for me as well as guests that may hunt the property. Right now I’m thinking 3 1/2 or older would be a good goal unless I have young-ins or 1st timers then maybe they could harvest whatever they choose. The end goal is to have the opportunity to see/harvest a nice mature buck every year. Don’t care much about score or points.

Outfishin'

Those both look like 2/12 year olds to me.  Great deer for me.  You decide for yourself.

I say 2 1/2s. Not much in the way of a gut. Hinds aren't really wide either. Certainly nice deer, though!

Not looking for scores but some advice on aging. Are these bucks 2 year olds or 3? I’m trying to set some guidelines for my property but I want to keep it fun and manage our expectations at the same time. My area deals with severe winters and abundant predators and I understand it will never be buffalo county and that’s ok. Both bucks were harvested, one by me and the other by a neighbor. I couldn’t be happier as it was my 1st buck I harvested on my new property. This is near the Wisconsin/U.P. border.

Forgot what bucks we were scoring. I know they were 160 something and everybody guessed low. For cripes sakes I think the one had 14 inch g2s and 3 at 13.

He's a cool, old buck.  doesn't matter what it scores.  he's older than 3.5 and that's all that matters.  A buck could be 8.5 and 120, i'd still take an older deer over a 3.5 yr old stud in the 140's.  That's just me though.  I prefer age over rack size.

Great buck nonethless,  I'd put an arrow in em.

Hockeyguy,

Its tough to tell beam length from just one picture but I would put him at 135"

Glad to hear that! Plus mine was on public land with a mile and a half drag, rather than on his neighbor's deer paradise where it dropped dead on the trail so we didn't even have to drag it to the ATV lol.

hockey... you have bragging rights... what you loose in mass and spread, you gain in tine length and then some.   both cool bucks though.

Hockey, your buck has some good mass too. Obviously lesser than that of the other deer but not spindly by any means. Your brows are also quite bigger than average, which makes a big difference as those are usually only 3-4" measurements. I think your buck definitely scores higher than the other. Just my opinion.

Hasn't been scored yet, but I'm sure it will be. He is getting a shoulder mount at his wife's insistence (I think I married the wrong sister lol). Definitely his biggest, and among the biggest racks I've seen in person. Pics really don't do it justice. Not disputing the scores provided since they're all really close, but someone offered an opinion of near 140 for my buck from 2013, and his is wider with much more mass. Only thing I had going was tine length. Who knows...if I get mine scored too, maybe I will still have bragging rights lol
