I don't see a 2020 gun deer hunt thread? Hunted Vilas County and on Saturday saw five does and one three point buck which I harvested.  Very few shots heard on Saturday.  St Germain seemed like a ghost town. Motels were almost empty.

Hunted Adams county. Saw 33 deer in 5 days.  Only 2 bucks. Average season. No complaints. Saw the most deer on Tuesday during the snow storm.

Yes, waterfowl hunters continue to be exempt from wearing blaze orange.  That said, depending on what venue you hunt in, it can be wise to wear an orange jacket in transit to/from the spot you are hunting.

brookie14, just to correct you a bit. The entire state is blaze until the 13th. Muzzleloader then antlerless is statewide.

Last chance, back in the stand. Walked around yesterday. No rubs, no scrape's, no turds in the big Nicolet Forest. My how lack of logging has hurt. I can see why everyone wants a food plot. What is not known is these food plots are usually useless this time of year. I'm sure illegal baiting has hurt hunting also. When I used to bait back in the day, the deer could always be found near by. Enough venting and can only hope this county stays buck only until a heard can be established!

Tough Season for the family, hunted jackson, monroe, rusk and jefferson county private and public. The two kids did not see a deer. I was lucky enough to get a spike the old man has only seen one deer on his 50 all week. I have put in some miles trying to push deer past the kids. The doe tags are really taking effect on the herd.  Hope they continue to hunt. The one put 20 hours in opening weekend, and another 20, decided to finish the season duck hunting said at least I see something. Have a safe rest of the season, and if you hunt any game a lot of the state is under 50 percent blaze orange requirement till december 13th Muzzleloader and Doe only season.

phelpsguy....Way to welcome that deer to Wisconsin. Those Michigan bucks will learn not to chase those Wisconsin doe’s.

Our group of 7 seen 12 deer hunting in Phelps in northern vilas county. 10 does and 2 buck. Which one of the oldest guys shot one being a 7 pointer and I shot a 8 pointer sunday afternoon. All on public land. The 7 was chasing does. My 8 came in after some grunts and using the can call. The 7 had a Michigan dnr tag in its ear. Which the the boarder is about 2 miles from where we hunt. These were 2 nice mature public land bucks. It's been awhile.

Our group or six hunted north central Forest County for the first 3 days of the season. In the stands at 6 AM and left them at 4:30 PM.  Saw a total of 3 deer (between two hunters) and 11 Wolve's (between 3 hunters). That's par for the course up there.

Took a nice doe yesterday right before close. Resident group I've seen every day so far. I almost shot one Sunday, but as I was lining her up, one of the yearlings came over like Hey Mom and started nuzzling it. So, they got a pass. Yesterday they were socially distanced though.

Love my "new" rifle. It's good to have confidence that it's going to put it right where I'm aiming.
