I use Moultrie cameras and they have a port for an external battery. The chord cost is about $10, I use a ammo box $10 and my batteries from my vexilar. I’ve had them out since July and all of my cameras are still at 100%. I get about 500 pictures a week.

That's crazy sometimes the knockoff brands are better than the others I guess. I happened to get lucky menards has a sale right now for energizer max. 9.99 for 24pk so I grabbed them up to try.

AO,  I run 6 cameras and have all but given up on the coppertop's because when I load them into the camera it shows that they are not at full power. I am now running Kirkland by Costco and so far am very happy. Cheaper than the coppertop and made by Duracell. Go figure!

I run browning cams also that take 8 AA not only fo these cams take exceptional pictures but I also get a yr or more of battery life.  At around 100bucks a pop I am very happy with them

Been using trail cams since they 1st came out, back when you used 35mm film. Looks like I got the 1st pic of a badger in all these years. About 200 yards from my house.

Cool sounds good. It would be month before I get back up north and don't want to miss out on hopefully valuable pics because the battery I chose lol.

I run two Brownings, both with alkaline AAAs.  I honestly am somewhere around a year on these batteries.  One read 47% and one 54% when I checked them the other day.  Crazy!

AO, regular batteries will get you by for a month.  I use regular batteries and they last from July to New Years.

I know it's more of a picture thread but Anyways....I don't use trail cams as often as some. Looking for some advice on batteries. Plan on having some cams out for about a month or so and wanted opinions on what battery to use. Do i need lithiums or can I get away with a good alkaline like energizer. I just use plain old moultries and browning's for night and day pics only. 1 takes AA and one Cs

Suggestions plz

Brother in law sent me these last night. The ladder stand I bought is set up overlooking this food plot, and we put up a scaffolding stand at the back property line overlooking a nice marsh-y area and facing the wood lot this food plot is adjacent to. With a nice quiet entry (open field) without stepping foot in the hunting area until I'm climbing the ladder, I'm hopeful this one slips up and shows himself! Pretty sure he's the same one we had on camera here last year. I'll need to look back to confirm since the phone those pics were on is at the bottom of Green Bay lol.

That’s a beautiful buck, early. I love the dark antler color in those marsh bucks. Hope you get him.
