Fished this lake for many years now, and the fishing is still fantastic. Nice walleyes, a lot of smallies, and some big muskies and pike. Fish are in the stump fields, and on rocky points. it does recieve a fair amount of recreational boaters in the summer.

You just have to work the waters... they're in there. I've been fishing the lake for over 20 years as well, and I can tell you there are some fish in this lake. If you want a thrill, try musky fishing with a surface lure at night when there's at least a half a moon visible - but row the boat in the stumps...don't try using your motor - that Captain Bobbie knows what he's talking about - those stumps are a real problem - it takes a lot to get these old knees knocking, but I can tell you it's happened more than once on this (moonlit) lake.

We have fished Rest Lake for about 20 years, mostly Muskie. Rest Lake is loaded with stumps, and in late Fall you really need to be careful navigating in certain bays.
There is an area in the north section of the lake called "the stumps" and there are some big fish, but unless you are using a surface bait you will spend more time trying to unsnag your bait as you will be fishing.
