One of the clearest lakes I've ever fished. That being said - can only be fished during low light periods (around dawn, dusk, and dark, cloudy days) and nighttimes. For the most part, fish are deep and difficult to catch during the day. Perfect habitat for walleye and smallmouth - sandy, rocky bottom for the most part with nice bars/shoals. Better than average muskie lake as well. There are large and trophy fish for all three species - walleye, smallmouth, and muskie - in Round Lake.
