I have fished this lake for 15 years. It used to have ultra-clear water during the entire open water season (spring, summer, fall). However, within the last 3 years, the lake has developed a severe algae bloom during the summer months. There can only be one explanation for this. There are several shore properties on the lake, (about 6 or 7), a few are relatively new but most are old dwellings. There must be a faulty septic system adding excess nutrients to the lake. This has taken away from its otherwise scenic appeal.
