Have spent a lot of time on carrol looking for bigger fish. Fish seem to be on the smaller size, good place to take the kids. dont expect to fill the buckets with huge fish though.

Great crappie fishing in summer! Lots of fishing pressure, some nice bluegills, and walleye, also through channel to madeline lake is great for northern and bass.

Lots of good fishing for several species. It does get crowded at times and one would have to wonder how long the lake will support this kind of pressure. Good crappie, perch, bass and walleye, and the biggest musky I ever had hooked. Nice humps and great shoreline structure. Some days it's a five.
