I was anticipating fishing this lake all summer. Today was the day I attempted to fish and was quite disappointed. Many small panfish are visible in the lake by the boat launch area. I fished nearly 2/3 of the lake before I caught a small (8 inch) Bass. I also tried fishing for panfish for a bit w/o any luck. When I was loading the boat, I talked to a local who said, "I saw a lot of dead fish this spring after the thaw which indicated a winter kill." He also stated that hew saw several Northerns and Bass among the dead fish.
