Sorry about that review back '05, it was the wrong lake, but ive fished the Mills before and caught some little cats and a couple of suckers, there were these guys on the river who were catching 5-10 lbs. cats.

This impoundment no longer exists. The dam that created it was removed more than a decade ago. The Lemonweir River runs freely through this area now. There is an access point here. A small ramp that leads into a pond that was adjacent to the mill. You launch into this pond and exit into the main river via a small outlet. Anything bigger than a canoe or small jon boat youll have to drag over the sand since the channel is only about 5 feet wide most times at best. Theres shore fishing opportunities here especially during low water conditions as sand bars abound. The remains of 2 dams and lotsa downed trees provide plenty of structure. The itty bitty pond you launch into is probably 150 feet in diameter. Its also quite deep. I never graphed it but id guess its 12-15 foot deep. Heard tales of nice fish coming out of there but Ive never had any luck.

Fished all my life there with my cousins there in summer and winter great fishing.
Bluegills are over-populated,pike,walleyes,bass are pretty big.Close to 40" pike pulled out on minnows.
