This is a great lake to hit in mid-May through the beginning of June, preferably when the water level is higher than normal. I usually work the bottom, using slip-sinker or three-way swivel rigs with crawlers. I've caught mostly drum and channel catfish during this time.

Ice fished here a couple years ago. I caught only bluegills but saw some crappies also. Average fishing but beautiful area!!! Be careful for thin ice.
